Privacy Policy

TL;DR: Mewron Timers stores everything on your device. We don't have a server, we don't have user accounts, and we can't see your data. The only personal information that leaves your phone goes directly to Android's voice-recognition service (when you use voice input) or to our advertising partner (only on the home screen, only if you haven't paid to remove ads).

1. Who we are

Mewron Timers is published by ChronoCat Labs. Contact: hello@chronocatlabs.com. App package: com.chronocatlabs.mewrontimers.

2. What we collect from you

Nothing, directly. The app does not include analytics, telemetry, crash reporting, or remote logging. We don't know who installed the app, when you opened it, or what timers you ran.

Everything the app needs to function — your timers, scenarios, presets, focus history, streak, achievements, cat name and stage, postcards collected, settings, and onboarding state — is stored locally on your device using Android's AsyncStorage. None of it is uploaded anywhere.

3. Permissions we request

The app requests these Android permissions, all for purposes that stay on your device:

RECORD_AUDIO

Required when you use the «Сказать голосом» / "Voice" entry in the launch sheet. Your microphone is recorded only while the recording overlay is visible (the red mic with ripples). The audio is not stored by the app and is not sent to our servers — see Section 4 about Google's role.

POST_NOTIFICATIONS

Used to show you a notification when a timer or scenario step completes. Notifications are scheduled locally and contain only the timer's title and remaining time.

RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED

Used to re-arm pending timer alarms after your phone reboots, so a 25-minute timer set just before a restart still fires correctly afterwards.

VIBRATE

Used for haptic feedback on timer completion in sound packs that have vibration enabled (the «Тихий» / "Silent" pack uses vibration only).

4. Third parties

Google Speech Recognition (Android)

Voice input uses Android's built-in SpeechRecognizer API, which on most devices is backed by Google's speech-to-text service. When you tap «Сказать голосом», the audio you speak is sent to Google for transcription and the transcribed text is returned to the app. The audio sent to Google is governed by Google's own privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy).

The app does not retain the audio. Only the final transcript is parsed locally to extract a timer command. If you don't want to use voice input, simply don't tap that menu item — no audio is ever recorded otherwise.

Appodeal advertising

The free version may display advertising banners on the home screen via Appodeal. When ads are active, Appodeal and its partners may collect identifiers required to serve and measure ads — typically your Google advertising ID, device model, operating system version, language, and approximate IP-based location. We do not access this data ourselves. See Appodeal's privacy policy at appodeal.com/privacy-policy.

You can limit ad personalisation in your Android settings ("Reset advertising ID" / "Opt out of ads personalisation"). A future paid version will remove ads entirely.

Google Play

The app is distributed via Google Play and may be subject to standard Google Play telemetry (install/uninstall events, crash reports if you opt in). This is between you and Google; we receive only aggregated, anonymous Play Console statistics.

5. Children

Mewron Timers includes a "Kid mode" but is not specifically directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If a child uses the app, no data leaves the device unless they tap voice input or see ads — and even then only the third-party data described in Section 4 is collected, by those third parties.

6. Your rights and choices

Note: the in-app debug section is normally hidden in release builds. Internal builds for testers may expose it.

7. Changes to this policy

If we change anything material in this policy — for example, adding analytics or cloud sync — we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and announce it in the next app release notes on Google Play. Continued use of the app after that constitutes acceptance.

8. Contact
